The Antigua and Barbuda Seventh-day Adventist Co-operative Credit Union Limited was organized on August 29, 1998, at a meeting of prospective members, held at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Nevis Streets, St. John’s, Antigua.
Registrations were processed from fifty-seven (57) individuals present at the meeting and approximately EC$7,000.00 in shares deposited.
| At the said organizational meeting seven (7) members were elected to the Board of Directors, five (5) members to the Credit Committee, and three (3) members to the Supervisory Committee.
The elections were conducted by the Registrar of Co-operatives, Mr. John Jarvis. Elected to the Board were: Dr. George Daniel, Mr. Kelvin John, Mrs. Wanda Kendall, Mr. Claude Weaver, Pastor James Gore and Mr. Alfred Joseph. Elected to the Credit Committee were: Mr. Anthony Greer, Mr. Garfield Browne, Mr. Lenny Josiah, Mr. Oliver Joseph and Mr. Kem Tonge. Elected to the Supervisory Committee were: Mr. Cardinal King, Mrs. Jo-Ann Scott, and Mr. Steve Henry. The Antigua and Barbuda Seventh-day Adventist Co-operative Credit Union was registered on September 12, 1998. |
